They had a four point loss to 2A-D1 Beckville, who finished the season ranked 16 in state, a 6419 loss to 3A-D1 Grand Saline, who finished their season 11-1, a 52-49 loss to the defending state champs Timpson, and a 34-8 loss to Garrison, a 9-3 team who finished ranked 15 in state.
Joaquin knocked off heavily favored Honey Grove on Thursday night. Joaquin runs the ball nearly all the time, averaging five pass attempts per game. They use the size of their offensive line and speed of their defense to control the clock and grind.
Ganado entered the season as the number one ranked team in 2A-D1 and Joaquin was unranked.
Ganado is the second highest scoring team behind Stamford and has allowed the fewest points of the final four teams.
Joaquin has allowed 200 more points than the other three remaining teams in the playoffs.
The winner of this games will move on to the State Championship.
