Ganado 688, Stamford 707
Points against:
Ganado 155, Stamford 155
When the Season began, Dave Campbellās magazine listed the Ganado Indians as the #1 team in team and the Stamford Bulldogs sat at the number 6 slot.
Ganado returned 18 from a team that narrowly lost to eventual state champion Timpson in the State Semi-Final round last year.
Stamford returned 15 from a team that lost to Stratford in the Area playoff round last year. Kaston Vega is the key to the Stamford offense. The senior fullback is averaging 115 yards on the ground per game, has 31 rushing touchdown and is part of an offense that averages 275 yards on the ground and has amassed over 2400 yards through the air this season.
If the very good Ganado defense can stop the tough ground game of Stamford, the Indians could bring home their first football state championship.
