The 15th annual Trivia Night will be held on March 7, 2025. The Eleanor Brackenridge Literary Club is currently registering local teams for the lively competition. What began as possibly a good idea for scholarship fundraising for the club has now become a Jackson County staple of fun and a definite source for educational scholarships for youth throughout the county.
Businesses, families, organizations, church groups, and all interested individuals need to realize it’s time to recruit eight people to have a laughfilled evening answering questions as a group. It’s possible your team may win one of the top three places of honor that are awarded each year. A prize is even given for the best decorated table/team!
Multiple county-wide scholarships are the goal of EBLC’s Trivia Night competition. When Miss Brackenridge in 1901 instructed the women of Jackson County to organize and devote time and energy to helping educate youth, little could those ladies realize that a simple game of questions and answers would one day enrich 168 young women’s lives with the revenue from this scholarship fundraiser over the past 14 years. That is indeed a special brand of entertainment and a worthy endeavor.
In addition to the varied categories of Trivia questions, a Silent Auction will be available for participants and visitors alike. Plus, a rousing card raffle always puts everyone in a good mood. Teams pay an entrance fee, but visitors are welcome to attend for free. As in the past, any donation given to the organization will immediately be put into the organization’s scholarship fund; all profits from Trivia Night are returned to the youth in the form of scholarships.
