Industrial ISD trustees approved the school calendar for the 2025-2026 school year during their February board meeting on Monday.
Fall semester classes will begin on Wed., Aug. 20, and end with an early release day on Fri., Dec. 19. The spring semester will begin on Wed., Jan. 7, 2026, and end with an early release day on Thur., May 21, followed by graduation the following evening. Thanksgiving Break will be the week of Nov. 24-28, and Spring Break will be the week of March 16-20.

Trustees also approved an election on Sat., May 3 to fill two positions on the Board of Trustees, and also approved the contract for election services with the Victoria County Elections Administrator and with the Jackson County Clerk’s office, since the school district straddles both counties.
Also, Instructional Programs Director Stacey Bain presented the 2023-2024 Annual Texas Academic Performance Report.
In addition, trustees accepted gifts to the district, which included $1,470 from the Inez Parent Club to Industrial Elementary School West for a fifth grade field trip and $3,414 from the Industrial Athletic Booster Club for installation of the new baseball scoreboard.
Trustees also approved Superintendent Clark Motley’s evaluation, as well as the renewal and extension of administrators’ contracts as presented.
