The Friends of Elder Citizens center thrift shop has a new supervisor, Mary Herrera, and she’s happy to announce on Wednesday, March 26, the thrift shop is holding a $5 bag day. On Wednesday, anything one can fit in a bag, which they have at the center, will cost $5.
“I have the bags here, and although they may not look too big, if you do it right you can fit a lot of clothes in it,” Herrera said. “I know it because I tried it myself. But it’s also anything else in the store that can fit in the bag, it’ll be $5.”
The thrift shop will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Herrera said she hopes to do other specials in the future, but she’s still planning. The shop still accepts donations of any kind, and slightly worn clothes.
So don’t miss out on March 26, the FOEC thrift shop has expanded and there’s more inside than one might think.
