Edna School District #3 How long have you been a resident of the district you’re running for?
I have lived in ESD #3 for the past five years. However, I was born and raised in Edna, Texas, which I have proudly called home for 30 years.
Education?
Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston, and Certification for EMT
Employment?
Formosa Plastics, a Process Operator and active member of the Formosa Emergency Response Team.
Are there any clubs/organizations/ extra activities you’d like to share?
I enjoy sports, hunting, fishing, golf, and gardening. I am a member of the Edna Country Club and an active member of the Vanderbilt Church of Christ.
What is your previous experience that has qualified you for this?
I was employed with Edna ISD as a certified math teacher and coach for three years. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the daily operations and activities within a school.
Reason why you’re seeking this position?
I am seeking this position to ensure that the students of Edna ISD receive the knowledge, resources, and support they need to become successful contributors to society. I am committed to fostering an environment that supports their growth and development. While I value the traditions and principles that make our district strong, I also believe that positive change is necessary to adapt, improve, and uphold those values for future generations.
What other pertinent information do you want voters to know?
Edna ISD has been a significant part of my life for generations. My father attended school here, my mother worked in the district, and my wife is currently a part of the Edna ISD team. With such deep family ties, Edna ISD is more than just a school district to me—it’s an integral part of who I am.
