In the inspection reports, each violation in the Priority items 1-20 is 3 demerits; Priority Foundation items 21-33 are 2 demerits; and Core items are 1 demerit. Zero is a perfect score, while 100 demerits is the worst possible score.
Food service inspections for the week ending April 2:
• Daniel’s Tacos, 902 W. Main, Edna. Demerits: 12. No CFM on duty, food handlers expired, date label food opening, need cooking thermometer, seal all wood-can’t use cardboard.
• Highway 111 Shell, 201 S. Wells, Edna. Demerits: 10. Need to keep a time log on food left out at room temp 12:00 PM; expired medications; need cooking thermometer; need current permit; refrigerate all items that are required once opened, store handles upward of food.

• Pump N Munch, 1106 East Hwy 59, Ganado. Demerits: 6. Expired Medications; do not block hand sink; cannot sell other manufactured items.
