There were 218 cows, 31 bulls, and two goats. The packer cow and bull market was steady with last week’s prices. The calf market was a mixed bag this week. With the commodity board down rather than hard on Thursday and Friday, the new crop calves were quite a bit lower than the yearlings and conditioned cattle. The demand is still strong.

Packer Bulls high yielding: 155-184; Lower yielding: 136-150; Canners and cutters, 135-160; poor and weak, 80-135. Palpated: 31, 1,700-2,350. Pairs, three, 2,900 & 3,100.
