Just days after resigning from Blanco High School, former Industrial Head Coach Jamie Dixon accepted the head coach/ Athletic Director position at Edna High School.
Dixon arrived at Industrial and turned a struggling team into a yearly playoff threat. After the 2020 season, Dixon moved on to Blanco, where he compiled a 2612 record including playing three playoff games in 2022 and four in 2024. He has a 64-25 overall career record.
Edna Athletic Director Jimmie Mitchell was reassigned, at his request, the previous week, leaving the position open for Dixon.
Dixon has coached against Edna six times, winning twice while at Industrial.
Edna has made three consecutive State Semi-Final appearances.
