My wife’s name is Megan Freeland, we have been married for almost 10 years. We have three children together: Watson (6), Hudson (4), and Myla (1).

Edna ISD School Board District 6
How long have you been a resident of the district you’re running for?
My family and I have only lived in District 6 for a little over a year. However, I have been a resident in Edna on and off my whole life. I moved back permanently in 2012.
Education?
I graduated with an instrumentation associates degree from Victoria College in 2015.

I feel many things have prepared me to take on the role as a school board member. In my line work, I have taken on leadership roles, delegated projects, brought fresh ideas to the table, listened and collaborated with colleagues to tackle challenges, and had the privilege to mentor individuals. Not only has my career helped prepare me for this position, so has being a father. The past couple of years, I have volunteered to help with my son’s little league t-ball team. Being involved in the community and giving back is something I want to continue to do. My children will be a part of the Edna ISD for the next 15-plus years and I am fully invested in not only their futures, but of all the students.

Education is truly the foundation for our children’s future. As a candidate, I am committed to being objective, working hard, being a voice for our community, and dedicated to serving all students.
