Accident claims life of teenager

A two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on Oct. 29 claimed the life of a 13-year-old male from Ganado. The incident happened at the intersection of York Street and Brown Street at 8:16 p.m. in Ganado.

The Ganado ISD student was the only passenger in a Toyota Highlander driven by his grandmother. The second vehicle was a Ram pickup truck driven by an unidentified male who was alone in the truck. Neither of the drivers were transported by ambulance.

Ganado ISD has established a central location for counselors to meet with students and staff.

The accident is under the investigation of the Ganado Police Dept. with assistance from multiple agencies.
