Body found at Inez rest area part of murder/suicide

At about 4 p.m. on January 21, Pete Ramos III got out of his vehicle and ended his life. It concluded a strange series of events that began on January 20 with Edna police, Jackson County sheriffs deputies, and Ganado police responding to a welfare check at Ramos’ home.
On Saturday, a caller alerted authorities that Ramos had called and said that he had killed a woman and was threatening suicide.
