County-wide garage sale

    The Annual Jackson County-wide Garage sale day is quickly approaching. On Saturday, June 11, garage sales will be held across the county, from Ganado, Edna, Morales, El Toro, LaWard, Lolita, Francitas, Vanderbilt and LaSalle, all these towns can be a part of the sale.     City of Edna residents, stop by City Hall to get your garage sale permit before June 11, the permit will be free of charge and will not count against other permits. Then stop by the Herald-Tribune office to put in your garage sale ad for the issue of Wednesday, June 8. The deadline for placing a county-wide garage sale ad in the Herald-Tribune is Friday, June 3, at noon. The price will be $7 for 25 words. The special price is only for garage sales on June 11. If you are running a garage sale for the entire weekend, it would go in the regular garage sale section, at regular price.

   One can also advertise a garage sale on the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce LED sign, just call 361-782-7146 for details and questions.

    Becky Miska did have one thing to say about anyone planning a garage sale. “Pick up your signs afterwards please,” she stressed, “when people forget they stay there or get blown about toen, so please remember to pick up your signs when your garage sale is over.”
