Former Edna ISD coach and teacher Logan Allen O’Connor has been indicted by a Jackson County Grand Jury for three crimes related to alleged communications with a minor student at Edna ISD.
He was indicted for Online Solicitation of a Minor, Improper Relationship between Educator/Student (Attempt), and Sexual Performance of a Child, all third-degree felonies.
According to the indictment, dated December 9, O’Connor is charged with intentionally communicating with “Beth,” (a pseudonym), by “complimenting the buttocks and thighs of the complainant,” “soliciting the complainant to send the defendant photographs of the complainant while unclothed,” and “sending photographs of himself to the complainant,” and “telling the complainant that the defendant wanted to touch her thigh.”
O’Connor, a 2015 graduate of Edna High School, had worked at the district since 2020. He was arrested on September 16 and resigned shortly after his arrest.
He is free on bond while he awaits trial.
O’Connor’s arraignment is set for February 6, 2025.
