Jury sees video of Sorensen’s interview with police chief
Day 3 of the trial of Amber Sorensen, the Edna woman accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend, Jarrett Parker, continued with Edna Police Chief Clinton Wooldridge continuing his testimony. The prosecution showed a video of Wooldridge’s interview with Sorensen in his office. Assistant DA Tom Dillard asked Wooldridge about inconsistencies in Sorensen’s testimony compared to earlier interviews with Captain Bruce McConathy and Investigating office Michael Yaws. The defense attorney Stephen Cihal challenged Wooldridge, pointing out inconsistencies in his testimony. Topics in question were the location of the cell phone Sorensen used to call 911 after the incident, whether or not Parker was painting before the argument and why there was no paint on Sorensen if he attacked her, and the perceived lack of appropriate bruising based on Sorensen’s testimony. The trial continues Monday morning at 9 am.
