Maiden Mojica moves on

    If Ganado had a high school event going on over the last four years, chances are Alexis Mojica was there competing. Between academic and sports competition, Mojica was involved in almost everything, and as the school mascot, she was there with the boys, too. And even with all the extracurricular activities, “Mo” walked the stage at Ganado High School on Friday night as valedictorian.

    “Every bus ride, any spare time, I had to study, and it meant staying up late most nights,” Mojica said. “For the most part, studying just fell into my sleep schedule. I had countless little breakdowns and I can say my parents and Mrs. Bacak really helped me through it.”
