Mid-Coast FS reaches out to homeless before this weekend
Mid-Coast Family Services will provide overnight Emergency Hotel Vouchers for out-of-county homeless during the upcoming freezing temperatures. The voucher will cover Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, through Sunday morning, Feb. 3-6, with check out at 11 a.m.
If you need shelter from the cold, please contact Mid-Coast Family Services at 361-575-7842. Please note that the hotel stays will require a photo ID.
To request a hotel room in your county or for more details please contact the Mid-Coast Family Services or Keith Rucker at 361-935-3515 or Lisa Griffin at 361-935-1451 during office hours. We will be doing street outreach locally to identify homeless who need hotel shelter or tents and thermal sleeping bags.
Donations of blankets and coats or donations to help purchase hotel stays may be made be made by telephone at 361-575-7842 or at Mid-Coast Family Services offices located at 111 S. Liberty Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
