Taxpayers pick up tab for dumping at Helping Hands

An organization that was created to help the needy in Jackson County has turned into a dumping nightmare for all involved.
Helping Hands of Jackson County is a 501C (3) that was established to help provide food and other necessities for residents who have fallen upon hard times. It has a board of directors, an executive director and a few volunteers that try their best to ensure it fulfills the organization’s vision to help the community.
Marcella Ramsbacher is the executive director and she and a handful of volunteers do their best to see that those who need help can get it. It’s not always easy to determine the most needy and it’s even harder to weed out those who take advantage of their good will.
