The jury went into deliberations a couple of minutes before 5 p.m.
Closing statements in the Amber Sorensen trial were made today.
The jury was sent to deliberate around 4:30.
Judge Bobby Bell released the jury for the weekend around 2:30 p.m. today. Bell told the jury he and the lawyers had to discuss a charge.
Testimony continued today in the Amber Sorensen murder trial.
EPD investigator Kent Bubela concluded his testimony and then Jarrett Parker's parents were called to the stand.
