James Yendrey
James R. Yendrey Sr., 69, of Bryan passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22 at Generations Senior Living in Bryan. Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 26 at Christ the Good Shepherd Chapel with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment followed at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Aug. 25 with a rosary at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. James was born Sept. 9, 1947 in Edna the son of Bennie Joseph Sr. and Hazel Ruth (Caddess) Yendrey. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, KJT, and 4th degree Knights of Columbus Msgr. Gleissner Council 1834. James enjoyed fishing, play dominos, dancing to polka music and working on cars. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. James retired after many years of service from the City of Bryan and Texas A&M University. James is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelyn Yendrey Groth Clark; two brothers, Bennie Joseph Yendrey Jr. and Jimmy Yendrey and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Yendrey. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Yendrey; sons and daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Disanna Yendrey, Stephen Yendrey, Christopher and Ciara Yendrey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Trudy Mabry, William and Dodie Yendrey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene Hubenak, Eddie Ruth and Joe Tumlinson, Lynette and Ronnie Supak, Joni and Denton Huckabay; grandchildren, James Yendrey III, Ariana Yendrey, Tyler Yendery, Dylan Yendrey, Reagan Yendrey, Savanah Ramirez, Caden Brown and Trinity Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 507 E. 26th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803.
