Adam Garcia
Adam Garcia, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, with his loving family by his side at the age of 45. He was born in Wharton on April 28, 1972, to the late Gabriel Garcia, Sr. and Mary Jane Garcia. Adam truly represented a man of stewardship and selflessness. Adam lived his life serving God by using his many talents and skills. He devoted countless hours volunteering his time to his church, Knights of Columbus, ACTS community, CCD programs, Youth Football League, Little League, Friends of the Cowboys, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and many more. He is also well known for his barbecuing skills. Above all Adam was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and dear friend. Adam had numerous friends and no one was a stranger to him. Adam is survived by his loving wife, Delia Grifaldo Garcia; daughter, Aubrey Garcia; sons, A.J. Garcia and Mason Garcia; sisters, Jeanette Garcia and Monika Garcia; brother, Raymond Garcia, aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and many dear friends. In addition to his parents Adam is preceded in death by his brother, Gabriel Garcia, Jr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 5-6:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna. Funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Edna. Burial to follow in the Assumption Catholic Cemetery of Ganado with the Rev. Michael Petering officiating. Pallbearers are Brandon Curlee, Cippi Palacios, Kevin Davis, Shannon Orsak, Shelton Grona, and Toby Ressman. Honorary pallbearers are Knights of Columbus, and ACTS brothers. Memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Volunteer Services, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030.
