Lillie Bures
Lillie Mary Koudelka Bures, 95, of Ganado, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017. She was born on Friday, Nov. 11, 1921 in Moulton to Charles and Mary Holub Koudelka. She married Jerome 'Jack' Bures on Feb. 16, 1938 in Ganado and they were blessed with three wonderful children. Lillie was well known in the community for her kolaches and her quilting. Lillie is survived by her daughter Georgia Wallace; her sons Leroy and his wife Dru Bures, and Larry and his wife Janet Bures. Also her eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Edwin Koudelka, Evelyn Dodds, Arnita Drastata, Dorothy Seiler, Eugene Koudelka and Genny Pruitt. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Josephine Srubar and granddaughter Debby McCartney. Visitation was Friday, October 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ganado Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral mass was Saturday, Oct. 21 at Assumption Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with a rosary recited at 9:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. Kirby Hlavaty. Interment followed at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Cernosek, Nathan Cernosek, Chris Cernosek, Jared Wallace, Kevin Bures and Colton Turner.
