Cowboys move on to Area Round

When two-a-days first started Edna head football coach Jerry Long made it clear that the Cowboys would be a run-first team with him at the helm. On Thursday night in Bastrop, the Cowboys defeated the Lago Vista Vikings by a score of 33-21 in the Bi-district playoff game, scoring all five of their touchdowns on the ground and proving that the Cowboy offensive machine starts with the ground game.

Lago Vista opened the game with a drive that started at their own 25 yards line, but the Cowboys defense stepped up when it mattered, stopping a Viking 4th down attempt at the Edna six yard line.
