Cobra parents question lack of athlete discipline

Bryce Moreland, with the support of several Industrial varsity football parents, read a collected statement to the Industrial ISD school board expressing their unhappiness with the lack of boys’ accountability in the athletic program during public comment at the Nov. meeting.
“This needs to start at the junior high level,” Moreland read. “The ones who do not follow the rules are not being held accountable for their wrongs.”
He implied the problem is part of the reason for a subjective decline in the football program. “Practices have been getting shorter, and the boys feel like the coaches are giving up on them,” he said.
