Ruth Richards

Ruth Lorraine Miller Richards, 78, of Ganado, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018. She was born on July 14, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Silas and Josephine Lillian Kaiser Miller.     Ruth lived her life as a Catholic first, a wife second, and a mother third. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Deniese (Gary) Orsak and Angela (Joe) Calicchio; and her sons, David (Maura) Richards, Robert (Rachelle) Richards, and Brad Richards.     She is also survived by her sisters; Joann Sullivan and Stella (Rick) Huffman, also her 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.     Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Raymond L. "Bud" Richards.     There will be a Rosary on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 9:30 a.m .at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Ganado, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating.     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Maintenance Fund of Assumption Catholic Church.     Services have been assisted by Russell Todish of Ganado Funeral Home, 361-771-2120.
