Saying Goodbye

It’s no surprise by now word has traveled that Industrial Athletic Director and Head football Coach Kensey Allen submitted his letter of resignation to Superintendent Paul Darilek on Friday, Feb. 16.
It’s also no surprise Allen’s heart sits in the baseball diamond, but he took three years to step out of his comfort zone and into an athletic director position to challenge himself.
For him, it’s all about the students and athletes. “I used the opportunity as AD to take care of the kids. They’ve been through some rough experiences in the past years and they’re the reason I got into the business in the first place. It’s time-consuming, yes, but I knew what I was getting into before I took the job. I don’t regret one minute of it.”
