Rev. Henry Martyn White Jr.
Rev. Henry Martyn White, Jr., 83, formerly of Edna, passed away on Feb. 14, 2018 in Tomball. He was born in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Oct. 23, 1934, and grew up in Hollywood, Calif., where he graduated from Hollywood High School. He graduated from USC with a degree in history. He then served in the U.S. Navy and was a “Frogman” in the Underwater Demolition Team (the precursors to the present-day U.S. Navy SEALs). After a career as a businessman, first as a stockbroker, and then as a real estate broker, he attended seminary and became a Presbyterian minister. He was preceded in death by two wives, Rev. Nancy White and Vera Mae Harrah White. A graveside service was held on Feb. 20, at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston.
