Seeing a police car sitting on the side of the road with lights flashing is an every day occurrence. Drivers slow down, change lanes, and go on with their day. But what would you do it if saw the flashing lights and witnessed the officer struggling on the ground with a suspect? This was the scenario that Industrial Senior Marco Martino drove up on after leaving senior serve on April 30.

“That Sunday night I was driving home from senior serve,” Martino said. "I didn’t see the cop lights in front of me yet, but I saw the police car pulled over on the side of the road. When I got up there, I saw the officer wrestling with the suspect, so I stopped and got out and helped. They were rolling around on the ground but we were finally able to get his hands behind his back and get cuffs on him.”

Martino said at the time, being scared didn’t even cross his mind, he just wanted to help.
