Jackson County law enforcement has partnered with Edna ISD for special training which would make things much more organized in the event of a school shooting. The goal is to save as many lives as possible, should the unthinkable happen in our little county.
Sheriff Andy Louderback said the plans for this involved not only law enforcement, but lawmakers.
“We are faced with incorporating more law enforcement services into our school districts,” he said, “I’ve been heavily involved with, and I organized, an active shooter training for all of Jackson county law enforcement for all law enforcement. What we are looking for is 100% participation for all the law enforcement agencies in Jackson County.”
The training, Louderback says, requires the participation of all of Jackson County’s law enforcement.
