Ella Mae Anderson

Ella Mae Hessong Anderson, 70, of Edna, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Victoria, Texas. She was born April 17, 1948 to Louis and Minnie Hessong in Victoria.     Ella was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. Throughout her life she enjoyed her animals, fishing, camping, gardening and the families that she cleaned houses for. One of the greatest accomplishments in her life was overcoming her alcoholism, she was sober for 20 years.     Ella was a housewife, custodian for the Morales Baptist Church and others, and also a caregiver.     She is survived by her daughter Tammy (James) Ricks; son Archey Anderson; grandchildren Erica Ricks (Shane Ruzicka), Melissa Stetler, David Paulsen, Cody Anderson, Kayla Anderson Woods (Henry); great-granddaughter Emma; sisters, Betty Jerkins, Martha Kudelka, and Pat Seabolt.     Ella is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charlie, and daughter-in-law Tracey.     Pallbearers will be James Ricks Jr.,  Wallace Wysong Sr., Butch Bryan, Cody Anderson, Shane Ruzicka and Nick Gregg.     There will be a graveside service at Speaks Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25 with Rev. Chris Heinold officiating.     Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish at Slavik Funeral Home, Edna, 361-782-2152.
