Allen J. Witte

Allan J. Witte went to be with the Lord July 18, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born in Victoria County, Sept. 27, 1931 to the late Anton and Emilia Witte.     He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris; children Monica Zacek of Edna, Daniel Witte of Inez and Kendall Pfuhl of Inez; brother Anton Witte, Jr. of Dallas; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.     Visitation was July 20 with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. with Deacon Steve Borowicz officiating at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Inez. Funeral Mass was July 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Barnabus Kyeah officiating. Burial with military honors under the auspices of the Victoria County Veterans Council, AL, CWV, VFW, DAV, MCL, MOWW, EX-POW, MOPH, VVA, and KWV followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Inez.     Pallbearers were George Frederick, Marlin Frederick, Bob Frederick, Keith Warzecha, Kenneth Warzecha, Blaine Warzecha, Jerry Mikus, Jr., and Jace Pfuhl.     In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of South Texas or Industrial Education Foundation, PO Box 369, Vanderbilt, TX 77971.     Condolences and memories can be shared at www.gracefuneralhome.net.
