New football season will see some local challenges

With district realignment going into effect at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, all three Jackson County teams find themselves in a much different spot than they began in last season.
Ganado had just a handful of students too many and were moved from 2A to 3A, while Edna and Industrial remained in 3A but watched another state-ranked team join their district. All three teams will share a district for much of the school year, but in football Edna and Industrial are still 3A division 1 teams while Ganado is now a 3A division 2 team.
