On October 5 Inteplast Group opened its doors to educational institutions, businesses, and other community organizations. Forty guests, wearing personal protective equipment, were led through some of the 575 acre Inteplast complex.
It’s the largest manufacturer of integrated plastics in North America and their second year participating in Manufacturing Day.
The activities included lunch at Café Inteplast and tours of the IBS, BOPP I, and Stretch Film plants.
Tours of the three Lolita plant facilities were hosted by TCL General Manager Peter Zamarripa, Profile Plant Manager Ron Summers, and BOPP General Manager Jame Wong.
The BOPP I facility produces a variety of films used for tape, labels, and food packaging. The Integrated Bagging Systems (IBS), is one of the largest of its kind at 1,000,000 sf, and could hold more than 17 football fields in the building.
