RTransit provides a ride for everyone in Jackson County

    The Friends of Elder Citizens of Jackson County and the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission are getting the word out that they offer rides to everyone in Jackson County, and not just to the elderly.

    “Lots of people don’t even know the transit is available,” FOEC Transit Manager Ray Berry said. “The other day I was in Ganado getting the bus worked on. The lady there asked where we came from. When I told her Edna, she said, ‘I didn’t even know we had a bus.’ We drive the bus to Ganado every day.”

    Golden Crescent wants to let people know the bus service is available to everyone and the Jackson County Hospital District wants to help get the word out as well as what all services the RTransit system offers.
