Cobras and Cowboys head to the playoffs

The buzzer sounded as the ball was in the air. As soon as the shot went in the hoop, the fans stormed the court. Industrial had defeated Edna and in the process moved into first place and put the Cowboys in a position where they will have a difficult time defending their district crown.
The Industrial Cobras boys basketball team made a lot of district noise this week. They opened the week tied for second, but had to face the team they were tied with and then face the team in first place. First, they played Edna down to the wire and won it on a Nathan Hammack last second basket. Then they clinched a playoff spot when they went to Columbus and took down the first place Cardinals.
The Cowboys locked up a playoff spot with a victory on Tuesday.
