Margaret Alene Barnes

Margaret Aline Barnes, 98, of Edna, went peacefully to our Lord on, Thursday, May 9, 2019.     Aline was born December 23, 1920 in Springhill, Louisiana, to the late John Walter and Margaret Ivy Modisette. During World War II, Aline worked for the Civil Service. She then worked for Jackson County State Bank, now Wells Fargo Bank, for 32 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edna for over 60 years.     She is preceded in death by her husband, William Guy Barnes; husband, Lt. Paul Heggem; son, Johnny Heggem; sister, Thelma Denmon; and brother, Herbert Modisette.       She is survived by her son, Jerry Paul Heggem; daughter, Margaret Ann Walker and husband Steven Walker; grandson, Justin Heggem; and granddaughter, Faith Margaret Walker.       A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 16, at 11 a.m., in the First Baptist Church of Edna, with Rev.
