JB Carroll Pruitt
JB Carroll Pruitt of Edna, Texas, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 72.
He was born in Refugio, Texas, January 7, 1949 to the late Hugh Clomer Pruitt and Hattie Marthiljohni Good.
JB proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War and remained a true Patriot until his passing. He worked for R & S Services, a gas measurement company, for many years until 1992. The same year he opened his own company, Edna Gas Measurement. In 2007 he sold his business and retired to Ozona, Tx where he fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning an exotic game ranch. In 2013 he returned to the Yoakum Tx area. God spoke to him and wanted him to be a church planter. So, in March 2016 he founded At The Cross Fellowship church in his home, where he served as a Deacon. Over his lifetime he has touched the hearts of many people. He was loved by many. He was a faithful husband, loving father to his children and a proud Papa to 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
JB is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Coker Pruitt; Sons: Christopher Pruitt and wife-Robyn, JB Pruitt, Jr and wife-Karen, and Steven Utz and fiancé’-Amber Wagoner; Daughters: Tammy Morton and husband-Kelvin, and Michele Hudson and husband-Jason; Grandchildren: Mara Calhoun and husband-Jordan, Bryce Pruitt and wife-Madison, Tyler Hudson and wife-Taylor, Lauren Morton, Sierra Pruitt, Daphne Hudson and fiancé-Byrron Simmons, Tristen Pruitt, Kaitlyn Morton, and Hayden Morton; Great-grandchildren: Eastyn Cole, Aurora Pruitt, and Hays Calhoun; Sister- Leona Valenta; Sister-in-law- Jeanne Beckman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Sister- Evelyn Parkan; Brother- Julian Earl Beckman; Brothers-in-law- Larry Parkan and Rudy Valenta.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday February 13, 2021 at 2 pm at the Inez Community Center, Inez, Tx
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of JB to At The Cross Fellowship Building Fund at 13167 State Hwy. 111 E. Yoakum, Tx 77995
