Gilbert Lee Hengst

    Gilbert Lee Hengst, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the age of 70. He was born in Victoria, Texas, October 13, 1950 to the late Roland Gilbert Hengst and Florence Ledwig Hengst.

    Gilbert worked as a construction company foreman, who was happiest when working a 10-12 hour day.     He always kept himself busy. Gilbert was a hardworking man who loved his family. He will be dearly missed by so many.

    Gilbert is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Kay Hengst; sons, Gilbert Lee Hengst, Jr., Bryan Hengst, and Lloyd Morrow: daughters, Jessica Ann Crawford, Stephanie Jones, and Katherine Yarberry; sisters, Estella Trayhan, Brenda Kaiser, and Patsy Hengst; brother, Richard Hengst; and 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

    He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronnie Allen Hengst; and brother, Donald Hengst.

    A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
