Cynthia Lou Hutson Nixon

     Cynthia Lou Hutson Nixon, 71, passed away on March 26, 2022. She was born on August 5, 1952, to Ray E. Hutson and Mary Eva Arnold Hutson in Palacios, Texas. She was a hairdresser for 50 years.

     Cindy is survived by her daughter Christle Lea (Jason) Holub and granddaughter KyLea Nicole Strickland. Her sisters Wauniece (Bill) Wood, Glenda Julian, Barbara (Marvin) Peterek, Patti Hutson, brother-in-law Anthony Fowler, and her brother Keith (Margaret) Hutson. Her nine nieces and nine nephews that she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Eva Huston, child Casey Stephen Nixon, sister Debbie Fowler, nephew Clint Edward Fowler and brother-in-law Jerry Julian.

     Services will be held at Souls Harbor Baptist Church on Highway 172 South, 1304 South Third Street, on Thursday, April 6, at 10 a.m. Pastor Eric Prove will be officiating. 

     Honorary pallbearers are Trent and Chad Peterek Gregg, Kirk and Rory Fowler and Matthew Hutson.

     Donations can be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association or the donors choice.
