 Cora Belle (Rusty) Fouts Dvorak

Cora Belle (Rusty) Fouts Dvorak entered heaven on Friday, March 15, 2024,

surrounded by family. She will be remembered as Mother, Grandmother, Great-

Grandmother and Friend.

Rusty was born in Nashua, MT on September 16, 1931. One of five children born to

Thomas and Stella Fouts, Rusty’s early years consisted of her father’s general store,

her lifelong girlfriends, her class leadership and cheerleading at Nashua High School,

as well as precious time with her Fouts family.

Upon marriage to Billy Wayne Dvorak, she moved to his military post in Georgia, but

soon came home to the Dvorak family in Angleton, TX, where she was welcomed and

loved as one of their own. After her divorce, they held her and her son Paul and

daughter Marla close. Out of respect and love, she chose to stay and raise her children

near that family, a choice she never regretted.

Rusty was devoted to her Community Public Service career, her St. John Lutheran

Church family & choir, her volunteer activities with the DRT, Jackson Co Historical

Society, and other local clubs. She was an accomplished china painter, home designer

and lover of all things crystal. Her home-cooked meals for 40-50 friends and family will

long be remembered. She traveled nationwide, and visited Europe & Hawaii after

retirement. She was truly loved by her family and the many friends she made over the

years.

Rusty was a resident of Angleton & Pearland, before settling in her historic home in

Edna. She recently moved near her son in New Braunfels.

Rusty is survived by her son, Paul Dvorak (Betsy) of New Braunfels, son-in-law John

Wells, Grandchildren Rebecca (Curtis) Wells Kerth, Brandi (Joseph) Ellerbee Martina,

Brent (Elle) Ellerbee, Lana Dvorak and eight great-grandchildren; Cameron Wells,

Curtis & Thomas Kerth, Roman, Ryan & Quinn Martina and River & Jade Ellerbee.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal

Church, 102 W. Church Street, Edna, TX with reception to follow. Interment will follow

in Nashua, MT.
