Christopher Taylor McCrory, Cullen Reid Stumfoll, Zachery James Kuchler, and Braxton Cole Warren stood alongside their attorney Brent Dornbug and accepted four identical plea agreements today. Judge Kemper Stephen Williams presided over the hearing.

The four men were accused in April of 2023 of assaulting a baseball teammate on an Industrial ISD bus, and subsequently charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, a State Jail Felony.

The case soon became controversial, with some claiming the incident was a violent assault, and others dismissing it as simply horseplay.

McCrory, Stumfoll, Kuchler and Warren all plead guilty to a lesser included offense, Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Class A misdemeanor. All were sentenced to 12 months deferred adjudication, a type of probation which, if completed successfully, would leave them without a conviction on their records. All were ordered to complete 50 hours of community service, pay a $1,000 fine, refrain from any contact with the victim or the family thereof, and abide by any and all conditions of misdemeanor probation.
