Lilia VerVer

     Lilia D.VerVer, 97, of Ganado went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 9, 2024. Lilia was born on March 25, 1927 in Ganado, TX to Fermin P. VerVer and Otilia Dovalina VerVer. Lilia worked hard picking cotton and once worked for Shrimp Distributing Factory in Palacios, TX. Family was her work, dedicating her life to caring for her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and the generations that followed. She was very proud of her family’s military service to our country. She was a former member of Lulac. Lilia is survived by her siblings Joe VerVer, Isabel VerVer De La Vega (Hank), and Margarito VerVer (Lenora). She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Pablo VerVer, Indalecio VerVer, Francisco VerVer, Paulino VerVer, Maclovia De La Garza, Andrea Alvarez, Macaria Alaniz, and Asusena VerVer Martinez.

     Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, at 9 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado, TX with a rosary 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. with Father Greg Korenek officiating. Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers for her service include Miguel Martinez, John Antonio Gonzales Jr, Don Allen VerVer, Joe Mario Martinez, Fermin VerVer, Frank H VerVer, Jesse Ballin Jr, Fermin VerVer Jr, Daniel Ray Rodriguez, Steve Basco, and LeRoy Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers include Roy Lennon Jr, Matthew VerVer, Jesse Ballin Sr, Elijah Ballin, Arnold V Garza Jr, Alexander V Garza, Tony Blanton, Hector Cuellar, Daniel Rodriguez, Francisco VerVer, William Gerami, Deric Martinez, Charles Morton, Juan Ricardo Garza III, and Anton Rodriguez.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Assumption Catholic Church/ABVM Guadalupanas Society PO Box 369, Ganado, TX 77962 and Harbor Hospice 5606 N Navarro, Victoria, TX 77904.
