He was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Waldron and an Army veteran. Earlier in his career, he was a farmer and worked in water and waste water construction for Mercer Construction of Edna, Tx., for 35+ years.

He loved watching Westerns.

He is preceded in death

January 12, 1940 — March 13, 2025

by his wife, Jeraldine Jackson; daughter, Shawn Cooper; son, Benjamin Jackson; grandson, Dakota Cooper; parents, John and Essie Jackson; brothers, Charlie, Stonewall, and Howard Jackson; and sister, Katherin Swain.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
