Alvin Hilgart

    Alvin Hilgart, of Edna, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the age of 81. He was born in Park Falls, Wis. on Jan. 1, 1937, to the late Mike Hilgart and Eva Cahill Hilgart.     Alvin was retired from USAF after 20 years of serving in Germany, Vietnam and Thailand. He also owned and operated Al’s Garage in Edna before he retired. Alvin was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.     Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 59 1/2  years, Katherine Sablatura Hilgart; daughter, Maureen and Pat Andel; son, Guy and JoAnn Hilgart; sisters, Avis McKuen, Nettie Wartgrow, Ginger Berheandt; brother, Mickey Hilgart; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.     In addition to his parents, Alvin is preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Hilgart; sisters, Dolly Peterson and Cleo Mae Hilgart; brothers, Bill Hilgart, Buddy Hilgart, Clarence Hilgart, Albert Hilgart, Kenneth Hilgart, Walter Hilgart and Herald Hilgart.     Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 9, from 2 to 3 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at 3 p.m., in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.     Pallbearers will be all of Alvin’s grandsons.
