Bailey Bryan Hyden

    Bailey Hyden, 85 of Edna, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

    There was a visitation on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

    Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Church of Christ in Edna.

    Interment immediately followed in the Memory Gardens of Edna Cemetery.

    Bailey was born on Thursday, March 12, 1936 in Groesbeck, Texas to Roland and Myrtle Hyden.

    He is survived by his loving family, his daughter; Beverly and Joe Mack Wittenburg, son Brian Hyden, his grandchildren; Jaime Rea, K.B. and Brooke DeBord, Jake and Chelsea Wittenburg, Amanda and Jake Compton, Jacob and Kristan DeBord, Jodi DeBord, Amy and Jake Chambless, Jordyn and Matt Miles, Laynee and Lane Long, Paige and Matthew Aguirre.

    Also his Great-Grandchildren; Jailee and Jetlyn Rea, Peyton, Parker and Pierce DeBord, Max and Ella Wittenburg, Caleb, Eli and Layla Compton, Morgan and Ridlee DeBord, Piper Mendoza, Connor, Kynzee and Kemper Chambless, Oaklynn Long and Paxtyn Rodriguez, Panella and Bonnie Aguirre.

    He has been preceded in death by his parents; Roland and Myrtle Hyden, wife; Patricia Hyden, brothers; Rex Hyden, Howard Hyden, and Charles Hyden, sister Betty Hyden Howell, and one great-granddaughter; Presley Rose DeBord.

    Pallbearers were; K.B. DeBord, Jacob DeBord, Jake Wittenburg, Jake Chambless, Jake Compton and Lane Long.

        In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of South Texas in Victoria, Texas.

    Services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, 209 N. Allen St. Edna, TX 77957, 361-782-2152.
