Clifford Roy Thornton

     Clifford Roy Thornton, 67, passed away on Sept. 24, 2021 in Edna, TX. He was born Jan. 7, 1954 in Halletsville, TX to the late Henry Thornton and Agnes Virdell Tones Robinson.

    He grew up in both Halletsville and Edna and graduated from Edna High School in 1973. Clifford was employed at United Gas Company and later Inteplast. Clifford is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Andrew Robinson.

    To cherish his memory he leaves, his wife, Terrelyn Turner; daughters, Rhonda Tolbert, Kierra Thornton and Tynechia Turner; sons, Kenneth Gardner, Charles Tolbert, Clifford LaDray Thornton, Kendrick Turner, and Jordan Norman; sisters, Patricia Thornton and Bonne Godfrey (Maurice); brothers, Ronald Thornton (Cynthia), Jessie Robinson and Michael Stovall; 25 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of numerous other relatives and friends.

    Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Fri. Oct. 8 at Cook-Butler Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. on Sat. Oct. 9 at Shiloh Baptist Church with burial to follow at Willow Creek Cemetery in Halletsville, TX. Final arrangements entrusted to Cook-Butler Funeral Home, 361-782-3821.
