Darlene Quarles

Darlene Roehe Quarles, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at the age of 78. She was born in Rosenberg, Texas on October 25, 1939, to the late William “Bill” Roehe and Aleen Zunker Roehe.       Darlene is survived by her husband, Sammy Quarles Jr.; daughter, Carol Roznovsky and husband Michael; son, Scott Quarles and wife Debbie; grandsons including, Clay Quarles, Sam Quarles and Trace Roznovsky; she is also survived by her sister, Paula Roehe Kuhlman.     Darlene and Sammy would have been married for 58 years this coming October 22, 2018. Darlene loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and a dear friend. Some of her favorite things included going to the beach, hunting for seashells, and visiting with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading about and visiting historical sites. Two of her favorite past times were watching bull riding and baseball, in particular the Astros. Darlene also loved and adored her two (fur babies) Sissy and Dixie.     Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 10:00 A.M., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna. Pastor John Waak will be officiating.     Pallbearers will be Robert Prochaska, James DeBord, Clay Quarles, Sam Quarles, Steven Burger, and Clifford Roehe.     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 4102 Ben Jordan St., Victoria, Tx 77901.     A special thank you goes to the Nurses of Citizens Medical Center who devoted their time and care to her well being.       Arrangements are under the direction of Oaklawn Funeral Home in Edna. 361-782-2221.
