David Dee Whittley

David Dee Whittley, 54, of Edna, passed away on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018. He was born March 5, 1963 to Mickey and Mary Lou Whittley.     He is survived by his children, daughter Kayla Lowery and husband Michael of The Woodlands, and son, Brandon Whittley and wife Emily of Edna; grandsons, Mason Dean Lowery, Michael Dean Lowery, and Trey Lewis Whittley; twin brother Donald Lee Whittley and wife Kim of Edna; sister Debbie Koudela and husband Michael of Hillje; brotherss Ray-Ray Whittley and wife Lynn of Edna and Bobby Whittley of Lolita; and numerous nieces and nephews.     He is preceeded in death by his parents Mickey and Mary Lou Whittley; grandparents Delbert and Adeline Whittle; grandmother Lottie Davis; and brother Mike Whittley.     David was a very outgoing person. He was always the life of the party. Anytime someone needed help he was the first to lend a hand. David’s pride and joy were his children and grandsons. He enjoyed cooking and growing his plants. He always dressed in his best – tank tops, Daisy Dukes, and flip flops for any occasion! David was a loving man with a big heart who will be missed dearly.     A celebration of life was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 29 at Baptist Temple in Edna with Pastor Brent New officiating.     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to his children, 108 Cherry St., Edna, TX 77957.
