Delores Espinosa

     Our mother, Delores Munoz Espinosa, 89 of Edna, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. She was born to Cleophus and Josephine Munoz, along with her twin sister, on March 27 th , 1934 in Smiley, Texas.

     Delores married Albert G. Espinosa and together they had seven children. Delores was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church and was a Catholic Daughter for 45 years.

     Delores was a fearless warrior when it came to loving her children. She taught them respect, work ethics, and most of all to keep the faith and never give up. She was highly skilled with her crochet hooks and knitting needles, quilting, baking and loved walking to the barn to check on her boys.

     Delores is survived by her children: Diana Perez, Gloria Jones, Melba Lowery (Dean), Joe Espinosa (Virginia), Stella Nava (Randy Reyna), and Sonya Proper (Lance Crull).

     Also, her much beloved grandchildren: Laura Perez, Jamie Hughes, Erika Casarez, John Rucker, Lei-An Hernandez, Jake Espinosa, Sydney Espinosa, and Emily Proper. Her great grandchildren are: Anthony Nava-Hughes, Ricardo Nava, Riley Castaneda, Jaxon Perez, Jon-Robert Rucker, Jessie Rucker, Alex Casarez, and Keagan Hernandez.

     Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Albert G. Espinosa, her son Albert R. Espinosa, her parents, her brothers Elmo and Frank Munoz, her twin Vicenta Anzaldua, and her son-in-law Jim Perez.

     Visitation will be Friday, October 27, at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel from 5 – 7 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 6 p.m.

     Funeral Mass for Delores will be Saturday, October 28, 2023, at St. Agnes Catholic Church beginning at 10 a.m.
