Donald Ray Hoskins

    Donald Ray Hoskins a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather,

peacefully passed away on July 11, 2024. Born on April 2, 1938 to J.V. "Bill" and Edith

Hoskins in Lolita, TX, Donald lived a fulfilled life filled with an abundance of love, laughter,

and accomplishments.

     Those who knew Don could attest to his warm and generous nature. With a smile always on

his face, he lived every day to bring joy to those around him. Don was much more than a

wonderful husband and father. He was a friend to many; his kindness and generosity were

unmatched, his legacy.

     Don was a man of many interests, but above all else, he cherished spending time with his

grandchildren and great grandchildren. His passion for collecting classic trucks and cars

was only surpassed by his love for riding around his property with his dogs. Don also loved

coaching his son, Scott's, Little League team year after year. Don was also a beloved

municipal judge in Blanco, TX and in his spare time you could find him socializing on the

golf course.

     A life well-lived brings a treasure trove of accomplishments. For Don, some of his proudest

moments included being an esteemed husband, a proud father, a doting grand and great-

grandfather. Not to forget, being voted Most Handsome at Industrial High School, a title he carried with pride and humor.

     He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly: his loving wife, Christine Hoskins; his son,

Scott Hoskins (wife Candy Hoskins) of Sattler, TX; his daughter, Marcy Coons (husband

Wade Coons) of College Station, TX; his sister, Carole Donaldson of Richmond TX . Don

also leaves behind his stepchildren, Susan Edgley, Dr. Heather Edgley, and Meredith

Edgley, along with their partners, Michael Dundon and Dr. Calvin Bard. He also leaves

behind his pride and joy - 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who stole his heart.

     Don was a man who was loved and respected by everyone he met. He demonstrated what

it meant to live a life of purpose, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of

those who had the privilege to know him.
